Customer Service Officer

Town Planner

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join the Circular Head Council team as a Customer Service Officer. This role plays a crucial part to deliver a quality customer service and project a positive image of Council.

The Officer will provide accurate information and resolve customer enquiries and issues on the full range of Council’s services through personal attention or referral to specialist staff as necessary.

The Officer will serve as first point of contact for customer enquiries, transactions, and action requests, ensuring service standard and performance objectives are achieved.

You will need:

  •          Completion of formal education preferably to at least Year 12.
  •          Proven experience in customer service.
  •          Adaptable approach to work and able to move easily between phone and face to face customer service situations with excellent interpersonal skills.
  •          Commitment to personal integrity, continuous improvement and understanding customer expectations ensuring the provision of a high standard of service to all customers.
  •          Demonstrated experience in operating in a team environment, in particular sharing workloads and supporting colleagues in a positive manner.

The package:

  •          Starting rate of $64,832.06 as per enterprise agreement
  •          Remuneration review on completion of successful probation

Appointment is subject to satisfactory pre-employment background checks. These will include reference checks, National Police History record check, and Medical Examination including drug and alcohol testing.
