The Cradle Coast Authority, along with Tourism Northern Tasmania, Destination Southern Tasmania, East Coast Tourism and the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund, are honoured to again support the Regional Tourism Organisations (RTOs) of Tasmania Tasmanian Leaders Program scholarships.

This is the second year the RTOs have joined forces with the Tasmanian Leaders Program (TLP) to offer I-LEAD scholarships to those in the tourism sector.

“We’re excited to partner with the state’s other RTOs and Tasmanian Leaders in this way, to provide such an important opportunity to emerging tourism leaders,” Cradle Coast Authority CEO Daryl Connelly said.

“Tourism right across Tasmania is an increasingly important economic driver for our region. In the Cradle Coast we are especially proud to see the visitor economy is experiencing long-term continual growth, so it’s essential we identify and nurture those who are in the industry who are prepared to lead us through this next exciting phase of tourism’s growth both in our region and across the State.”

Mr Connelly said the Tasmanian Leaders Program is recognised as Tasmania’s best leadership program.

“As a graduate of the Tasmanian Leaders Program and having mentored one of last year’s I-LEAD participants, I know these scholarships will have a transformative impact on the recipients and the tourism industry.”

The scholarship will enable successful applicants to undertake the year-long program. Eligible applicants must be working in the tourism and hospitality sector with a passion for seeing the visitor economy evolve in Tasmania.

Applications close on Monday, April 1, 2019.
