Cradle Coast Authority is one of 54 Natural Resource Management (NRM) organisations in Australia and one of three in Tasmania (alongside NRM North and NRM South) and was established in response to the Tasmanian Government’s Natural Resource Management Framework and its enabling legislation, the Tasmanian Natural Resource Management Act 2002.
The role of NRM organisations is to protect, sustainably manage and improve natural resources for the shared environmental, cultural, social and economic benefit of the community.
