Cradle Coast Authority (CCA) has released its 2025-26 Annual Report, highlighting the organisation’s achievements across NRM, regional development and council coordination projects and activities.
CCA CEO Mr Philip Reid said the report provided an excellent overview of the considerable work being undertaken by a committed and dedicated team.
“Much of our success is thanks to the professionalism and passion that our staff have for their roles and the region in which they live,” he said.
“The diversity of regional interests that CCA works within spans biosecurity to energy and housing, land management to transport, all of the factors that are imperative to strengthening the Cradle Coast region for our nine member councils.”
Among highlights from the 2025-26 financial year activities was the completion of the Braddon Truck Wash project, comprising four facilities across the Northwest to service the agricultural sector.
Environmental projects and initiatives represented approximately $4M in deliverables across the region in 2025/26, supporting activities in sustainable agriculture, threatened species conservation, and estuary health, among others.
Advocacy played a large role over the 2025-26 financial year through CCA’s close coordination with energy developers and advocating for legacy housing, while also delivering regional and community benefits through initiating, delivering and hosting major projects in the region.
CCA’s Chair Ian Vanderbeek also acknowledged the contribution of the Board and staff. “I have been impressed by the commitment and professionalism of everyone involved with the Authority, and thank my fellow Directors for their stewardship, insight and dedication throughout the year. Their collective expertise remains one of CCA’s greatest strengths. I look forward to continuing to work with our partners to create opportunities for our communities and deliver positive outcomes for the Cradle Coast region.”
At the heart of CCA’s purpose is the continued representation of member council interests relating to transport and freight, financial services and housing issues. The annual report details many of the successes deliver for these projects and interests.
