Cradle Coast Authority (CCA) has welcomed the Tasmanian Government’s additional funding, which will support the delivery of the draft Cradle Coast Regional Land Use Strategy.
We acknowledge the Government’s confidence in the region, as evidenced by the additional $100,000 to complete a region-focused land use strategy that will guide sustainable growth and liveability across north-west and western Tasmania, including King Island.
CCA will continue to work closely with the Tasmanian Government, Member Councils, industry stakeholders and the community to ensure the strategy reflects regional priorities and provides a clear, coordinated planning framework for the future.
Central Coast Mayor and Cradle Coast Regional Land Use Strategy Steering Group Chair, Cheryl Fuller, said the Cradle Coast Regional Land Use Strategy is a critical document.
“The Steering Group is committed to finalising this critical document, both on behalf of the Tasmanian Government and our region,” Mayor Fuller said.
“This is an excellent opportunity to establish regional priorities, facilitating sustainable, targeted development and supporting our unique natural environment.”
