This program will raise awareness of NRM priorities as they relate to our 2030 NRM Strategy for Cradle Coast Tasmania and improve the profile of our existing NRM projects to encourage participation. The project will also support a well-informed and resourced network of volunteer groups who use best practice methods to protect our natural resources.

First Aid Sponsorships for Community Groups
As of Monday 20th January 2025, applications for Cradle Coast NRM’s ‘Supporting Community Groups in First Aid’ program are open to all eligible community groups in the Cradle Coast region to support first aid training.
This sponsorship is open to all Landcare, Coastcare, Aboriginal, ‘Friends of’ groups and other community group volunteers who are currently actively engaged in natural resource management projects in the Cradle Coast region.
Please ensure the following information is read prior to your application.
Eligibility:
Sponsorship is available to community group volunteers so that they can improve their first aid skills by attending an accredited First Aid training course. Ideally, volunteers in roles managing activities’ Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Booking the first aid course with a recognised training provider and travel arrangements are the responsibility of individual sponsorship recipients. Sponsorship will be provided on a re-imbursement basis and receipts will be required.
Applications open Monday 20th January 2025 for training to be completed by June 30th 2025.
Terms & Conditions:
This sponsorship is to provide basic first aid or a CPR refresher only. The sponsorship will only cover the following accredited units:
- HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
Sponsorship is limited. A maximum of two people per community group may apply, however there is no guarantee Cradle Coast Authority will be able to offer sponsorship to all applicants. You will be advised of the outcome of your application within two weeks of submitting an application. Sponsorships will be allocated to applicants based on date of application and eligibility, until funding is exhausted.
