CCA welcomes the good news about Project Marinus

The Cradle Coast Authority (CCA) has welcomed the release of the Project Marinus Business
Case Assessment which confirms that a 1,500-megawatt Bass Strait interconnector is
technically feasible and commercially viable. Project Marinus would see a second
interconnector cable established across the Bass Strait, providing Tasmania with increased
energy security and allowing Tasmania to export clean energy to mainland Australia, as the
nation moves away from relying on coal.
