Upcoming Community Engagement Sessions for Wind Farm Proposals in Burnie/ Waratah Area

]UPCOMING COMMUNITY INFORMATION SESSIONS – HELLYER WIND FARM AND GUILDFORD WIND FARM

Information sessions will be held in June for two proposed wind farms in the Burnie/ Waratah area:

– Hellyer Wind Farm is a proposed development of up to 40 wind turbines located about 5km south west of Hampshire, and is about to enter the planning process. RSVP: [email protected]

– Guildford Wind Farm is a proposed development of up to 80 wind turbines located about 7km north east of Waratah. Assessment studies are underway. RSVP: [email protected]

Both sites’ current use for commercial forestry plantation operations will continue with the additional use as a wind farm.
